QUICK CONNECT WATER INLET

Already rerouted? Upgrade the connection.

If your boat already has individual engine-flush inlets, you may be able to keep the approved plumbing and replace the connection at the boat. Check the fitting and hose arrangement with your installer first.

Check four things before ordering.

Mounting dimensions

Compare the 2-3/4-inch flange, existing opening and three-hole screw pattern. Confirm the mounting surface is suitable.

Internal hose size

The 1/2-inch barb is installed; a 3/8-inch barb is included. Match the barb to the approved internal hose.

Clearance behind the panel

Allow room for the barb, hose and clamps without kinks, strain or interference with other equipment.

The system it connects to

Confirm the inlet’s job and approved plumbing. For engine flushing, preserve the separate engine line and required safeguards.

Replacing an existing inlet

Match the mounting dimensions and internal hose size. Your installer should inspect the existing hose and preserve the approved route and required safeguards.

Creating a new flush station

Plan a separate approved line to each engine. A Flush Port Reroute plate groups those connections in one accessible location; installation hose and engine-specific fittings are separate.

Choose the fitting for its job. This is the capped Water Inlet. Water Spigots are separate fittings with a quarter-turn shutoff valve. A connection fitting alone does not add automatic timing or create a complete plumbing system.

A premium connection. Solid 316 stainless steel.

A cleaner connection at the boat

Replace a compatible worn or threaded water inlet with a Flushmaster Quick Connect. The fitting provides the connection point; the existing plumbing determines the application. Confirm the boat’s system and installation requirements before replacing a fitting.

Solid 316 stainless steel

A solid 316 stainless steel body, mounting flange and locking cap provide a durable marine fitting. Rinse and inspect it regularly to help maintain its finish and performance.

Check the fit before replacing

Compare the 2-3/4-inch flange, mounting opening, three-hole pattern and rear access with your current inlet. An industry-style flange does not guarantee a direct fit on every boat.

One connection throughout

Attach the hose with the included female adapter. The same Flushmaster female connection is used across our compatible Quick Connect products. Turn off the water before disconnecting, then refit the cap.

Already rerouted? Start here.

If your engine flush hoses already lead to separate onboard inlets, you may only need to upgrade those fittings. Have your installer confirm the hose size, condition, connection and clearance.

Two barb sizes included

The 1/2-inch barb is installed and a 3/8-inch barb is included. Match the barb to the approved hose size; the gasket and female adapter are also included. Internal hose and clamps are separate.

  • Female Adapter with internal 316 SS spring
  • 1/2" threaded barb
  • 3/8" threaded barb
  • Rubber Gasket
Specs
  • Material: solid 316 stainless steel.
  • Connection: Flushmaster male Quick Connect with locking cap and chain.
  • Flange: 2-3/4 inches; three-hole mounting pattern.
  • Hose connection: 1/2-inch barb installed; 3/8-inch barb included.
  • Seal: double O-ring connection and molded rubber mounting gasket.
  • Confirm mounting opening, screw spacing and rear clearance before installation.
Installation & Fitment

Have a qualified marine technician confirm the inlet’s application and existing plumbing before installation. Compare the opening, flange, screw spacing, mounting support and clearance behind the panel.

Match the included 1/2-inch or 3/8-inch barb to the approved internal hose. Use suitable marine hose clamps and mounting hardware for the boat; inspect the hose condition and test the completed connection for leaks.

For an existing engine-flush reroute, preserve a separate approved route to each engine and all required engine safeguards. This fitting alone does not create a reroute or an automatic flushing system.

Compatibility

For compatible onboard water-inlet and existing flush-inlet applications. Fit depends on the mounting dimensions, hose size, system requirements and available clearance. Confirm suitability with your installer before purchase.

Water Inlet Questions, Answered

Can I replace an existing engine-flush inlet?

Yes, where the fitting and plumbing are compatible. If your boat already has separate engine-flush lines routed to onboard inlets, have the installer compare the mounting dimensions, hose size and rear clearance. One inlet serves one dedicated connection.

Will the screw holes match my old fitting?

Check before ordering. The fitting has a 2-3/4-inch flange and a three-hole pattern, but the opening, screw spacing and rear clearance vary by boat. Do not assume that every existing inlet uses the same footprint.

Which hose-barb sizes are included?

A 1/2-inch barb is installed, and a 3/8-inch barb is included. Choose the size that matches the approved internal hose. The female adapter, locking cap with chain and rubber mounting gasket are also included; internal hose and clamps are separate.

Does this have a shutoff valve?

This is the capped Water Inlet. A Water Spigot is a different fitting with a quarter-turn shutoff valve. Choose the fitting for the boat’s intended system and turn off the water supply before disconnecting the inlet.

Is stainless steel maintenance-free?

No. Solid 316 stainless steel provides corrosion resistance for marine use, but it still needs rinsing and regular inspection. Check the cap, O-rings, fasteners and hose connections as part of routine maintenance.
