An onboard water fitting should be convenient to reach and appropriate for the plumbing behind it. The Flushmaster Quick Connect Water Inlet provides a capped quick-connect interface made from solid 316 stainless steel.
Start with the existing connection
Identify what the fitting serves before choosing a replacement. A suitable engine-flush inlet, freshwater connection and washdown outlet can have different plumbing requirements. Similar-looking fittings are not automatically interchangeable.
If your engine flush lines already terminate at convenient onboard inlets, an inlet upgrade may be enough. You do not automatically need a new Reroute system.
Measure before removing or drilling
Check the mounting opening, screw spacing, surface thickness, backing clearance and hose connection. A common mounting pattern is a useful starting point, not a guarantee that the fitting drops into every boat without changes.
Match the hose and supplied parts
The current Water Inlet listing describes the locking cap, mounting parts, hose-side adapter and 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch barb options. Confirm the exact package and installation instructions before buying additional parts.
Permanent plumbing, hose length and application-specific components still need to be planned. Have uncertain engine connections or check-valve requirements confirmed by a qualified marine technician.
Use and care for the fitting
316 stainless steel offers corrosion resistance, not immunity to pitting, staining or wear. Follow the care instructions and inspect the cap, seals and connections. No marine fitting is maintenance-free.
When connected to an approved engine-flush route, the inlet can work with a compatible Flushmaster Controller for timing. Follow the engine's freshwater flushing procedure with the engine off.
