On compatible Mercury outboards, a Flush Port Quick Connect replaces the factory flush-port plug arrangement with an accessible hose connection. The aim is to make the regular hookup easier.
Confirm fit before ordering
Mercury has used different engine and flush-port designs. Check the current Mercury Quick Connect listing against your engine's make, model and year. Do not choose by horsepower or the Mercury name alone.
A photo of the existing port and the information from your engine identification plate can help resolve a fitment question before you start.
Install for your specific application
Follow the instructions supplied with the fitting. Check the hose path inside the cowling, including clearance and possible kinks, and use any application-specific elbow or hardware only as directed. Package contents and installation details should be confirmed for the version you are buying.
Inspect the finished connection with water supplied as instructed. An adapter does not repair a faulty check valve or another cooling-system problem; have persistent leaks investigated.
Manual hose or automatic timing?
You can use the matching hose adapter with a suitable garden hose. A compatible Flushmaster Controller adds timing and sequential operation for multiple engines. The Quick Connect changes the hookup, while the Controller manages the sequence.
Follow Mercury's manual for the exact flushing method, engine position and duration. With a Flushmaster Controller connected to an approved freshwater flush port, keep the engine off.
Ask us to check your setup if you are unsure which connection you have.
