Is hardware included?

Yes, 316 Stainless Steel mounting screws are in the box.

Does this replace the mounting tabs that came with my Flushmaster?

Yes. To install the Suncover, you remove the standard mounting tabs on the side of your Controller. The Suncover then bolts directly to the unit, acting as both the new mounting bracket and the protective shield.

Will the hinge stay open while I’m setting the flush timer?

Absolutely. We used a 316 Stainless Steel hinge with enough tension to stay in the upright position while you work, so you don't have to hold it open while navigating the menus.

Is this cover only for permanently mounted units?

While it's great for dock-mounted systems, many captains use it for portable units too. It adds a layer of impact protection to the screen when the unit is being moved around the cockpit or stored in a locker.
