If the hose connection at your Mercury outboard is awkward to reach, the daily flush can take more effort than it needs to. A compatible Quick Connect can make the hookup easier while leaving the engine's maintenance requirements in place.

Check the existing port

Identify your engine model, year and flush-port arrangement. Inspect the cap, hose and seals. If something leaks or will not fit correctly, establish the cause before forcing the connection or replacing parts.

Persistent leakage can require an engine-service diagnosis. A new hose adapter does not repair a faulty check valve or another cooling-system problem.

What the Quick Connect changes

The Mercury Flush Port Quick Connect provides a regular hose interface on compatible applications. Once correctly installed, it reduces repeated threading of the flushing hose at the engine.

Check the current listing and supplied instructions for fitment, hose routing and any application-specific hardware. Avoid pinching or kinking a hose inside the cowling.

Keep the seal in good condition

Use the matching hose adapter, inspect seals and follow the care instructions. Correct installation and maintenance still matter; no connection eliminates every possibility of wear, leakage or damage.

Choose manual or automatic timing

A suitable garden hose can be used manually. A compatible Flushmaster Controller adds timing and sequential outlet operation. Follow Mercury's instructions for the exact engine and flushing method, and keep engines off when using Flushmaster through approved freshwater flush ports.

Send a photo of your port and your engine details if you want help choosing a fitting.
